Nextcloud Office is not configured

Hello,
I have just installed nextcloud from the zip file. Everything seems OK and I have cleaned up any major issues highlighted in the admin/Overview page.

I am brand new to nextcloud so please bear with me.

Here is the problem I am experiencing; when I click on a office document I get “Nextcloud Office is not configured”. I have looked everywhere but cannot see where or what to configure. It is not a very informative error.

I did find similar questions posted but not quite the same and no resolution.

PRETTY_NAME=“Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS”
nginx version: nginx/1.18.0 (Ubuntu)
PHP 8.1.2-1ubuntu2.14 (cli) (built: Aug 18 2023 11:41:11) (NTS)
end Engine v4.1.2, Copyright (c) Zend Technologies
with Zend OPcache v8.1.2-1ubuntu2.14, Copyright (c), by Zend Technologies

Its a dedicated machine and the Nginx config has been copied directly from the documentation tweaking it to my domain name and ssl certs.

Please help.

Hi,

I have the same issue:
today morning, Nextcloud notified me, that my long running system has lost connectivity to OnlyOffice. Tested OnlyOffice, which runs just fine.
Disabled & removed the App from Nextcloud, reinstalled, Configuration is possible, System is recognized, but when trying to open a document, the message
“Document loading failed. Nextcloud Office is not configured” any ideas?

Nextcloud use collabora for office file. you must ınstall collabora packages
Open the link:
https://apps.nextcloud.com/apps/richdocumentscode

install package with occ command.

sudo -u wwwrun php -d memory_limit=512M ./occ app:install richdocumentscode

it’s worked for me

The Nextcloud Office app within Server is just the integrator app. You must also install Collabora Online or CODE. You can also use the “Built-in” version of it, but installing the one with that label from the app store (although at the price of lower performance and reliability).

OnlyOffice has its own integration app (available in the app store). It does not use the Nextcloud Office integration app.
