Nextcloud nginx-caching activate

Hello everyone,

I have Nextcloud version 28.0.4 in a web hosting package from netcup.de.
I now have more users than initially planned. I don’t know if it’s due to the number of users, but I have the feeling that the cloud has slowed down significantly in the loading times of the individual pages.

Unfortunately, as a hosting customer, I can’t make many settings.
However, I could still activate “ngnix-caching” in the web server settings for Apache & nginx in the corresponding domain.

Is this a good idea and does it have any advantages?
If so, can I simply accept the settings as in the screenshot or should I make adjustments?

I am grateful for any help.

Greetings Thomas

Did you add caching support in Nextcloud config.php? It’s better than nginx caching.

Hi,

sorry for the late response.
I tried to read up on the topic.
I think that was only moderately successful.

APCu and Memcached are not available with my hosting product. With Redis, only the client from Php 7.4 is available.

I’m not sure whether the link you provided will help me.
I still have some hope in the settings from my screenshot. But I have no idea what effect this has on the cloud.

(Please correct me if I have misunderstood something.)

Thanks for your help.

Greetings Thomas
