NextCloud Mac client crash - lazy symbol binding failed

Installed NextCloud Mac client on a 10.9.5 machine. It crashes on startup every time. The error message in the console log is

dyld: lazy symbol binding failed: Symbol not found: _LSCopyApplicationURLsForBundleIndeitifer
