I have nextcloud server installed via snap. I noticed that it works very slowly. At the same time, I don’t have anything open except Firefox. I’m using Fedora Workstation 40. CPU: Intel i5-6500. RAM: 8GB
I think we need more details. You can post e.g. free

For normal Nextcloud installation you can read Server tuning. Unfortunately, I don’t know whether this can also be implemented for Snap.

- compared to what?
- how slow is “very slowly”?
- mobile interface?
- browser interface?
- internet connectivity?

See Nextcloud snap wiki and support especially FAQ’s and Getting help
… sure most can be implemented for the snap.
the default configurations in the snap are tested and optimised for most architectures without needing administrative skills. Whilst the default configurations are mostly fine, it may be necessary to fine tune Nextcloud snap. See configuration for fine tuning options.
In addition to what has already been said. If you are using Nextcloud on your normal desktop computer, depending on what else you are doing on that machine, 8GB of RAM may not be sufficient. Also, the SSD is of course constantly being used by other things as well, which costs IOPS. But without more information we can only guess, and as others have said, ‘slow’ is a relative term
