Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): 27.1.5
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): Ubuntu 20.04
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): Apache 2.4.41
PHP version (eg, 7.4): 8.1

The issue you are facing:

Nextcloud-ios 4.9.6.1 doesn’t recognize .ogg file as music file and can’t play it in the App.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Y

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Upload a .ogg file to my nextcloud folder.
  2. Use Nextcloud-ios open the folder
  3. Tap the .ogg file

In my experience, if a file is recognized as a music file by the Nextcloud-ios, then the file icon is a Music Note Symbol then be the front-cover picture of that music file embeded if any.

The .ogg file seems never be recognized as a music file type by the Nextcloud-ios because the file icon is a generic blank.

I thought Nextcloud-ios integrated the vlc engine and should support wide range of media file types. Why a popular open standard music file type like the .ogg file can’t be played ?
