Summary of the issue you are facing:

Hello, I have a problem with new NX installation.
Server provided by company, so I do not have all details about config of equipment.
For some reason download speed only for me, is max 45 kb/s - via LAN and WI-FI. I can’t find out what is the problem in this case, in case if I am downloading files via 4G speed can be about 5MB/s.
I tried to use VPN with LAN/WI-FI, that does not help. Speed on same level with VPN and without too.
Same situation via all browsers, and desktop app.

What can be the reason, and what should I check ?
Thank you so much!

Web Browser

In some cases I got an error - " Your browser is not supported. Please upgrade to a newer version or a supported one."-- * Chrome version 126 and above. I am using 131.*

Often, these are network issues if you run Nextcloud within your local network. But since this is managed outside your home network, it could be you or they have not properly configured ipv6, or if you use ipv6 on your 4G connection and not at home, this might be even better?

I’d try to reach out to them. If it’s their server, perhaps they have already experienced this problem and can tell you right now…

Thank you so much, at the moment I have reply like - every is fine for everybody. So, not possible to find out something or fix with this info. Old NC on same server from them works fine.
So, your recommendation is use IP6 and Disable IP4?
Thank you

You can check, if their host uses ipv6.
nslookup nextcloud.example.com

And you can test your connection with: https://test-ipv6.com/

We don’t know what they did differently.

Thank you so much. No, they use IP v4,and me too IP v4

Can it be some router problems? If yes - what should I check?

Hard to say, in general it could be a firewall/serurity product at your computer that could throttle the connection, but why only on the new server? And with VPN, you tunnel through the connection, so if there are some local problems, they shouldn’t show like that.

Same computer with VPN connection over 4G network, does that slow down as well?

If it was your server, you could try different ways to connect to the server, just to check if this is a network problem, or if Nextclod is involved or not. If you just see one side, it is very difficult.

Thank you so much. Problem was resolved with new VPN protocol using OpenVPN.
