Nextcloud crashes when creating new user

Hi everyone,

My Nextcloud 12 is working smoothly (Xubuntu 17.04 + https enable) for a few weeks now with the admin account only. I decided to create a new user and each time I give a try Nextcloud shut down with a message I can translate by “connection to the server lost”.
The apache2 service is not down but after a restart Nextcloud is back online. The log folder (/var/www/nextcloud/data/nextcloud.log) is also completely empty.
Does anyone has a clue ?

It crashes when the password you choose does not meet the requirements.
