Nextcloud crashes by useing the Windows Client

Hi,

My Nextcloud instance (installed in a LXC on Proxmox with Ubuntu 18.04) is really slow in the last weeks. Navigating through the website is slow and if I add a new computer to download the files with the client, the nextcloud sends itself to the “maintanence mode”. Any hints?

Sometimes I get the error 503 " Service Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later."

and the error within the client software is “operation abgebrochen”

edit: okay, it becomes only laggish if a client for windows searches for updates…but this is new.

after this I have to restart apache2…

Without logfiles it is hard to tell. You should also try to find out what processes slow down the server (check RAM/CPU/i/o-operation usage). There are some optimizations regarding the database, file-locking (redis).
