Nextcloud App Won't Log In on a Chromebook

I’ve installed the Nextcloud app from the Google Play Store on a Dell Chromebook. When I try and log into my Nextcloud instance to use the app it takes me to the web login, which works fine. But when I go back to the app the circle just continues to spin and it says “Please complete login process in your browser”. It acts like it’s not recognizing the web login.

I know I’m logging in ok because I can get to my Nextcloud instance in the Chrome browser after I log in. The app just isn’t recognizing the login. I’ve cleared the browser cache and restarted the Chromebook several times, with the same end result.

Any ideas why the app isn’t recognizing that I’ve logged in?

An update: I uninstalled the Nextcloud Android App, cleared the Chromebook’s browser cache, restarted the Chromebook, and reinstalled the app. Same problem.

I have the same issue with the Nextcloud App on my Chromebook. After a successful login on my Nextcould, the registration is somehow not sent to the App (like on my smartphone). So, the Nextcloud App seems to wait for a response of the browser. Any ideas to solve this?

I have not been able to resolve it. Hopefully, someone here has some insight and can assist us.
