We packaged Nextcloud for the Cloudron - https://cloudron.io/appstore.html?app=com.nextcloud.cloudronapp (The Cloudron is a smartserver that lets you install apps and manage users). We have been tracking nextcloud releases actively and the app will auto update as and when new nextcloud releases come out.
If you want to give it a try, you can see it on the demo cloudron at https://my-demo.cloudron.me (username: cloudron password: cloudron). Simply install nextcloud from the App Store.
When will we see a Nextcloud icon on the homepage?
It would also be nice to see the short description updated from “Host and share your data” to Nextcloud’s actual tagline “A safe home for all your data” Just my €0.02
I’m also wondering (no judgement) howCloudron is licensed? I didn’t see any reference, so I’m assuming it’s closed. Either way it looks very cool. I’ve tried ArkOS and am currently using Yunohost. Both still seem fairly immature, though.

Fixed (in code). The website will change at the end of today.
Yes, the platform itself is closed. You can get the Cloudron stack pre-installed on digitalocean (you have to sign up) or ec2 (we have ami images).
