Nextcloud Android App - APK Issues, Auto Upload Problems & Sync Errors (Android 14/15)

Hello everyone,

I am facing some issues with the Nextcloud Android client app. My server is up to date, but the Android app is giving problems.

My Setup:

  • Nextcloud Server version: [e.g. 30.0.0]

  • Android version: [e.g. Android 14 / Android 15]

  • Nextcloud Android App version: [e.g. 3.30.1 or latest]

  • Device: [e.g. Samsung Galaxy, Xiaomi, etc.]

Problems I’m facing:

  1. APK / Installation related Sometimes I get issues downloading or installing the latest APK. Google Play restrictions or “Download blocked” messages appear. Download and check apk.

  2. Auto Upload (Photos & Videos) Automatic upload from camera roll is not working reliably. Some files upload successfully, while others fail with “Upload failed” or “File not found” errors.

  3. File Sync / Download issues Some files refuse to download or show “Error occurred while downloading files”.

  4. Permissions I have granted “All files access” permission, but problems still persist.

What I have already tried:

  • Reinstalled the app

  • Logged out and logged back in

  • Cleared cache and data

  • Tried both F-Droid and GitHub APK versions

Questions:

  • What is the best and safest place to download the latest stable Android APK? (GitHub releases?)

  • How to make Auto Upload work reliably on Android 14/15?

  • Are there any known bugs in the latest version?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can provide logs if needed.
