Nextcloud and Java

I could not find any information about it in the documentation, so I started the topic.

My desktop client is not working properly, always when I try to add some folder to sync, it crashed without a message. When I got a new ssd some weeks ago and installed everything from scratched, it worked again. Now I needed to install another Java version and I have the same issue again.

Does the nextcloud desktop client rely on Java? Which Java version is recommended?

No, it is not written in Java: https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/

If you start from command line, you can give some options to enable logging:
https://docs.nextcloud.com/desktop/2.5/troubleshooting.html#saving-files-directly

thank you! But the log (Windows 10) crashes togehter with the client and nothing happens.

I guessed its not written completely in Java, but I though probably some modules relied on it.
