Getting help

In order to help you as efficiently (and quickly!) as possible, please fill in as much of the below requested information as you can.

Before clicking submit: Please check if your query is already addressed via the following resources:

(Utilizing these existing resources is typically faster. It also helps reduce the load on our generous volunteers while elevating the signal to noise ratio of the forums otherwise arising from the same queries being posted repeatedly).

Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can.

The Basics

  • Nextcloud Server version (e.g., 29.x.x):
    • Nextcloud Hub 9 (30.0.4)
  • Operating system and version (e.g., Ubuntu 24.04):
    • Alpine Linux v3.21
  • Web server and version (e.g, Apache 2.4.25):
    • Apache/2.4.62
  • Reverse proxy and version _(e.g. nginx 1.27.2)
    • no reverse proxy
  • PHP version (e.g, 8.3):
    • 8.3.14
  • Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Yes / No):
    • Yes
  • When did this problem seem to first start?
    • immediatly after installation
  • Installation method (e.g. AlO, NCP, Bare Metal/Archive, etc.)
    • AIO
  • Are you using CloudfIare, mod_security, or similar? (Yes / No)
    • Yes

Summary of the issue you are facing:

[I installed AIO dock on unraid and after the installation finished I checked out admin page and saw Some files have not passed the integrity check.
Everything seems to be working fine but I don’t like to have errors in a fresh install.
The missing files are

  • text
    • FILE_MISSING
      • js/pgsql-6nMyK_Wd.chunk.mjs.map
      • js/pieDiagram-8a3498a8-BGXtXrZQ.chunk.mjs
      • js/public-CBtR8U5E.chunk.mjs
      • js/scala-DM40I5I8.chunk.mjs
      • js/scala-DM40I5I8.chunk.mjs.map
      • js/swift-DwqT-Gzy.chunk.mjs

The documentation hasn’t been very helpful here. It said signatures.json might need to be modiffied but also says it shouldn’t be modified.
I pasted the log from the first time NC started up below there I can see something related to the files and rsync bit I don’t know how to interpret that.
Thanks in advance for any help.]

Steps to replicate it (hint: details matter!):

  1. Install nextcloud-aio on unraid
  2. /
  3. /

### Configuration

#### Nextcloud

The output of `occ config:list system` or similar is best, but, if not possible, the contents of your `config.php` file from `/path/to/nextcloud` is fine (make sure to remove any identifiable information!):

### Tips for increasing the likelihood of a response

* Use the `preformatted text` formatting option in the editor for all log entries and configuration output.
* If screenshots are useful, feel free to include them.
  - If possible, also include key error output in text form so it can be searched for.
* Try to edit log output only minimally (if at all) so that it can be ran through analyzers / formatters by those trying to help you.

What is your underlying storage on your host? This is is a disk i/o matter from the OS. Could be a lot things (though we should probably fail hard if rsync fails like this, but that’s beside the point here).

Can you check your host system’s kernel logs, smartctl output, etc.?

Thank you for your fast reply.
My host is running unraid a 4 disk RAID. All disk are passing SMART checks.
dmesg just shows some network desvice things:

are there other kernel logs I should be checking?
Also can I somehow force Nextcloud to retry fetching those files? Because it only showed these errors in the container log on the first start. Since then there isn’t any mention of it in the logs. Just the error on the admin page.

Are those the log entries from during the time period of the installation?

Check your favorite search engines results for something like:

rsync read errors mapping alpine

And you should get some clues where to look.

The problem is that this is a looming issue. Even if you manage to copy over those files, it indicates either a hardware problem or a weird OS storage bug. It’s outside the scope of the container and Nextcloud itself.

Alright. I’ll be running some checks on my hardware and redo the installation from the beginning. Thank you for taking the time to look at my issue. I’ll be marking your post as solution.

Okay, I’ve just got done checking everything and all looks good. Did another installation and got the same files that did not copy successfully.

Strange. I guess I’ll need to do some further digging.

I figured out that it only happens when I select the Nextcloud Office(Collabora) Package so for now I just disabled it and installation worked perfectly so no problem on my HW, something weird with the installer.
