After updating to the Nextcloud-3.14.0-x86_64.AppImage I am asked for a kdewallet. I use Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon so I don’t use KDE. I choose the option to use blowfish but on the next start only kdewallet was required.
I had to step back to Nextcloud-3.13.3-x86_64.AppImage to use my nextcloud.
As my home PC is single user I prefer an automatic start without typing passwords. Therefore I deleted the keyrings.
I’ve got the exact same problem, and unfortunately I cannot revert to 3.13.3 as I’ve encountered errors due to special characters in filenames (char vs wchar). Are you aware of any official bug report already? I was unable to find one.
This has been annoying me on Linux Mint 22 Cinnamon too.
I installed the KDE Wallet with:
sudo apt install kwalletmanager
Signed into the popup that kept appearing, then opened KWalletManager, go to the Applications tab, highlight Nextcloud, click Change Password and then just click OK without entering a password.
I’ve restarted a few times and the popup doesn’t appear anymore, don’t know if not having a password is a security risk though.
If I entered a password in KWalletManager then it would still popup every login, only not entering a password has seemed to stop it from popping up.
