Nextcloud 28.0.2 Files App/Nextcloud Office Can't Edit Document Until it is created

I have the nextcloud office installed on 28 and my own collaboration server. They are on the same computer server. UP to 28.0.1, in the files app, in only 1 click, I would be able to create a new file and it would open in collabora office. Since the update to 28.0.2 I can only create a new file. It always has the same name (new document). It will then appear in the list of files and then I have to click on it to open and edit. I tried using the collabora demo server and it didn’t make a difference. Is this a bug? All my apps are up to date as is the collabora server on my computer.

To try to troubleshoot, I bought a VPS and did a fresh install of nextcloud 28.0.2 and collabora. Same problems, same error messages. See attached screenshot and log file pasted below.

Regarding the warnings in your screenshot: Four of the five warning messages have links to the respective section of the documentation attached to them. Have you clicked on these links and tried to do what the documentation suggests?

Oh, and the warning about the code integrity check being disabled was most likely caused by you manually disabling it, since it is not off by default.

If you have the following line in config.php…

'integrity.check.disabled' => true,

…please, replace it with:

'integrity.check.disabled' => false,

…or even better, delete that line from the file and from your memory :wink:

There is no reason to disable the integrity check. If you see a message that your Nextcloud hasn’t passed the integrity check, you most likely have some folders or files in your Nextcloud installation folder that do not belong there or you have manually changed something in a file. Normally you shouldn’t / don’t have to do that. Try to solve the actual issues and don’t try to work around them by disabling any checks.
