Newbie using an external VPS host, Plesk admin, and a Nextcloud 15 Docker image

Hi,

I searched for other topics related to my nooblem (newbie-problem), but no luck.

I have a VPS (Ubuntu 16.04) with a Plesk 17.8.11 front end for admin. I found a Nextcloud 15.0 Docker image within Plesk and ran it straight from the admin UI, which gave the output pasted below.

Initializing nextcloud 15.0.0.10 ...

My questions follow: is Nextcloud running? On which server at what IP address? How do I access the browser-based client?

I’ll try to dig up any additional log info or other config stuff that someone might need for helping me get over this initial hurdle. Any insights are appreciated.

Thanks,

you should check the port mapping in the docker page of the plesk gui.

https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/administrator-guide/plesk-administration/using-docker.75823/#o77134

Thanks very much for your prompt reply, I appreciate the help.

After checking that no other service/app was using it, I set the port mapping for my Nextcloud container to 4433. Then I pointed my browser toward http://mydomain.com:4433 and was able to reach the login screen, where I completed the initial setup.

Thanks again. I’m looking forward to diving in and learning more.
