NCpi - .img too large for FAT32

Hello,

This is my first post on this forum. Pleased to be here. But! Looking for help after researches:

I am willing to install NC on my raspberry pi3b. And I am willing to install it on my external drive (the reason is that I want to have direct access to my files in my root and not have the burden to click and open my SDD each time).

I have installed berryboot on my SD card, and it is working. Now, NCP is not available by default so that I have to install from a USB stick (I tried from an online link, but it did not work either). I have downloaded the latest version (NextCloudPi_RaspberryPi_v1.52.0) and tried to extract the .img onto my USB stick (formatted in FAT32).

The issue is that the extracted .img is oversized for FAT32.

I have tried to work around, but could not come with any solution. NTFS and exFAT is not a solution.

Websites mention a tweak by using .img128, .img196, and so on. But I have a hard time understanding what this is.

Thank you very much in advance for any help. Have a nice evening.

Berryboot is rough to work with. If you can, try default ncp image which includes btrfs.
