NC behind .htaccess protected folder

Hi

is it possible to run NC with .htaccess protected folders?
Seems that no eebdav, carddav, calddav is working as long as .htaccess is active.

Isn’t there any way to solve this?
What about user:pass@nextclouddomain? Can this be used to had the htaccess credentials over with webdav caldav an carddav clients?

I’m not 100% sure, but I think for *DAV Nextcloud already implements basic authentication and you can’t run it twice. If you want an additional authentication, you can provide NC only in a local network and give access only via VPN.
