The issue you are facing: When folders are shared to me, they usually appear in my Files overview as new folders. When re-sharing is allowed and somebody shares subfolders from an already shared folder, then this subfolder appears for me at top level. For me this feels like the data appears a second time. If this is by design, I would recommend to reconsider it as it would be easy to figure out that this folder is already shared. If not, I would recommend to fix it.

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Y

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Share a folder to somebody
  2. Share a subfolder to the same person
  3. Check the file list of this person. You will see the main folder and the subfolder both on top level.
