Moving Nextcloud installation to a new machine

Hya,

i have a machine which main hard disk got problems, so i needed t replace it.

The previous was on ubuntu 18.04 and the new one on ubuntu 20.04. I restored the nextclud directory from the backup, the raid volume (where database and data is stored) is intact.

Reinstalled apache2, all the configurations and it’s working.

But when i try to access nextcloud, i get the following message:

The server encountered an internal error and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator if this error reappears multiple times, please include the technical details below in your report.

Have you installed the app File access control?
If yes because of other threads perhaps you can deactivate the app

sudo -u www-data php occ app:disable file_access_control

If the name differ list first all apps and search the correct name

sudo -u www-data php occ app:list

Perhaps it is a problem with external storage.
You can also check the correct rights of external storage.

Thank you for answering. By doing it, i get:

 sudo -u www-data php occ app:list
This version of Nextcloud is not compatible with > PHP 8.0.<br/>You are currently running 8.1.3.

Any clue in how to solve this?

Is there a nextcloud version for php8?

On normal installation of Ubuntu 20.04 LTS you get PHP 7.4 and that is fine for the actual nextcloud. Or have you already installed Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (not final) with PHP 8.1?

With the tutorial you only install PHP 8.0.
