Move existing database to raid in Raspberry pi 4

Nextcloud version: 21.0.1
Operating system and version: 2021-03-04-raspios-buster-armhf Raspberry pi 4
Apache or nginx version: Apache/2.4.38 (Raspbian)
PHP version: 7.3.27
Database: mysql version 10.3.27 (mariadb)

I am not currently facing any issues (yet) but I suspect the database could cause problems with my SD card in the future.

Let me explain: I’ve partially followed this tutorial to setup Nextcloud on my new Rasbperry pi4, however at the same time I created a RAID1 and it’s mounted on /mnt/raid1/.

My NextCloud data folder now resides here: /mnt/raid1/var/nextcloud and so far it’s working great. I’ve added lots of files already and I’m surprised (in a good way) with the performance and reliability.

However, I would like to ask if anyone has any recommendations on moving the database out of the SD Card and into the RAID?

I’ve come across multiple tutorials but they don’t deal with the same setup that I have.

So I was wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction?

Thank you all in advance.

David.
