Minimal example "hello world" app?

Hi all,

I’d be interested in try a bit of coding around NC but I’m more like a hobby coder with limited time and skills. Understanding the whole thing would be way beyond my skills.
For Joomla, somebody has written a minimal extension some time ago which basically contains only the bare minimum to work - so to say a “hello world” app on which people can build and learn how to code within the framework.

Is there anything like that for NC?
