Summary of the issue you are facing:
greetings. I’m new to this so please let me know if there are simple config issues I’ve missed or additional information that should be added.
I am attempting to migrate from a pixel 7a to a pixel 8a. what I am trying to do is move the photos and videos the 7a to the 8a. for other reasons I am not able to connect the devices together and only really want to move photos and videos.
the problem I am experiencing is I can see the files under the user name (let’s say tom) under the profile on the box. the instaupload seems to have things in the correct folders, etc. what I can not see to work out is how to move all that data down to the 8a. basically I did a backup of the 7a but I want to restore to the 8a. I signed in both devices with the tom user account but the 8a only wants to move up the 1 screenshot on the 8a

is this something I want to ssh into the box to pull?

only the default apps are installed, I have not used it as a repository to centralize things. my main point was to backup photos and videos
