Migrate MacOS calendar to nextcloud

Hi.
Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, or its a dumb question.

is there a way to migrate a calendar(s) from a mac user with ical into nextcloud.

for example a user has 8 calendars for various purposes on a mac, now along comes a fresh install of nextcloud, I would like to migrate say 3 of those to Nextcloud to enable sharing with others etc etc.

I had guessed this would be a client side operation, but I have never used the calendar app on a mac before.

export and import i guess is the way to go.

Right. Export the local calendar from the Calendar application, then import it as a Nextcloud calendar.
