Messages don't arrive in iOS app unless conversation opened

Nextcloud version (eg, 24.0.1): 31.0.6
Talk Server version (eg, 14.0.2): 21.1.0
Custom Signaling server configured: no
Custom TURN server configured: yes
Custom STUN server configured: yes

In case mobile Nextcloud Talk apps are involved:
Talk iOS version (eg, 14.0.2): 21.1.1
Talk Android version (eg, 14.0.2): 21.1.2 (Play Store)

The issue you are facing:

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): first time I noticed

Steps to replicate it:

  1. Send a message to a user with iOS app, from web or Android app
  2. Message doesn’t seem to be received, even with the app open. No notification.
  3. Open the message thread and the message appears.

In case it’s useful, I use the standard Nextcloud installation supplied by Dietpi.

Ok I had only skim-read it, and then it did solve my problem :eyes:. Thanks. Turns out most conversations were (auto-?)set to not alert to messages unless @'ed.

Yea that’s most commonly the issue… you can set the default in the admin settings
