macOS client refuses to respond

I’m on an Intel Macbook with macOS v14.7 and Nextcloud client v3.14.1daily (from homebrew).

This change recently, but I’m not sure why. The client synchronizes and appears to run fine. But I cannot get the client to show the window where I can adjust settings and select/de-select folders to sync.

If I double-click the icon in the tray, it will open the root nextcloud sync folder in my Finder. But if I single click it, it will not show the proper window to select sync files/adjust settings.

I tried to uninstall the nextcloud client with brew remove nextcloud (and manually go ahead and delete all of the folders and files in ~/Library that are associated with nextcloud), but the result is the same when I install again using brew install nextcloud.

Perhaps it was the recent OS upgrade from the prior Sonoma to v14.7 but I’m not sure.

Would be interested to know if anyone else has encountered this same issue! thanks in advance to anyone who could help.

I have another M1 series MacBook with the same OS version and nextcloud client version that works perfectly fine.

In 3.14.0 there were a lot of bugs, among those one where the client window did not open. Not sure if all that was addresses in 3.14.1, and for mac it might be a bit different as well.
Check out the bug tracker, if you can find a report for your problem:

If you don’t find any and your client was working before properly, you can create a new report.

Great, thank you for your kind response. I downgraded to 3.13.4 which solved the troubles. I also saw that another reported bug was the client changing from stable to daily, which I experienced. Thanks again!
