macOS Catalina - Unable to Install Client

I’m sure this is a known issue, but we are currently unable to install the macOS client on Catalina (macOS 10.15), presumably because of the increased security hoops developers now have to jump through to get non- App Store software verified and signed by Apple.

I was just wondering if there was a time frame for releasing a Catalina compatible client?

Could you please check GitHub and file an issue if it has not happened already?

See https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/issues

Have done so : https://github.com/nextcloud/desktop/issues/1514

Only a bit related:

Does anybody knows the client still works after upgrading OS to catalina?

The v.2.5.2 (20190319) does work on my macOS 10.15 Catalina install - no issue whatsoever with it.

It is still possible to install it.
Go to Security Settings, the package will be displayed. Then you can proceed with the installation

But @JezzerP ist right, the downloaded pkg can’t be verified by macOS and thus gatekeeper/installer rejects to install the 2.6 version.

Yeah, but that’s not an option for any company, which enforces strict security and frankly Nectcloud of all developers should honor that!

Yes, this sounds like a workaround. Please add your comments at referenced GitHub issue. The devs are at GitHub, not here (very often).
