Looking for testers: Attendance app for Nextcloud

Hey everyone,

I’ve been tinkering with a Nextcloud app for attendance management for a while now, and I’m now looking for people who’d like to test the app in real-life use.

Quick explanation: The app doesn’t just show how many people are coming to an event — it also shows which groups they’re from. For example, how many sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses are at choir rehearsal. Or which positions are covered at soccer practice.

I’m especially looking for people from:

  • Choirs, orchestras, bands

  • Sports clubs

  • Church communities

  • Organizations with volunteer teams

What I’m hoping for: Honest feedback. What works well, what’s clunky, what’s missing? I’m developing the app in my free time and I appreciate every bit of input.

You can find the app in the App Store,

and there’s more info on my website: https://anwesenheit.app/

I’m looking forward to your feedback! If you have questions, just message here or open an issue on GitHub

Best regards,
Florian

Florian - Happy to help you out. Let me know what you need from me to get started.

Hi @matt4 !

The app is already in the App Store - so you can just install it right away for testing

Best case scenario would be you have an actual use case you can test the app with in your day2day life.

But you could also just construct a use case (like having a soccer club or choir you want to organize tournaments or rehearsals for)

Looking forward to your feedback! You can also open feature requests/bug reports on GitHub

Best regards

Florian

You don’t have an instance of NC I can use? Not too keen on installing in my environment. LMK!

Oh you dont have to install it on your production server if you don’t want to use it on a daily basis

You can just setup the nextcloud docker environment locally to test it for example with Stable Nextcloud versions - nextcloud-docker-dev

Works like a charm!

I only have my production instance where I cannot invite you unfortunately for testing purposes.

The rest (dev + testing) I do via local setup like mentioned above.

Ah too bad. I don’t have a local environment I can use. I use to host locally, then it just got to be too much to maintain / troubleshoot. I now use a hosting provider. Much easier. Good luck!
