Looking for Nextcloud logging GUI (Splunk?)

Hello

I would like to add a way to see more detailed and accessible (not having to search through a .log file) logs of my Nextcloud server. I am most interested in seeing who (from what IP if it’s a public share) viewed/opened, edited, created, deleted certain files/directories. It would be nice if the data was visualised and grouped per user/ip-address.

I have been looking for something like this and found it would be best to use an external application (like Splunk). I found this very extensive guide on how to set up Splunk for Nextcloud, but I’m unaware if it’s still up to date or if there are better alternatives.

Also, I have Nextcloud installed in a docker container running on Ubuntu. I’m guessing the best way to go about installing Splunk is to run in in a separate container as oppose to just running it on the host machine itself (or even together in the Nextcloud container). This would change certain parts of the guide and since I’m just a beginner, it’s sometimes difficult to understand how the guide would translate to a docker setup. Also from dipping my feet in the water it seems that Splunk isn’t super user-friendly.

What would you recommend for someone in a situation like me? Is it best to use Splunk and follow the guide for the most part (and try to tinker with it a bit where the steps are different). Or is there a different application or guide that works specifically for docker. Thanks in advance!

I did not test it myself but it sounds very promising:
