I would like to enable file sharing to receive uploads from trusted external sources. I’ve seen that Nextcloud offers a “File Drop” option for this purpose, allowing users to upload files without seeing the contents of the folder.

However, I’m not seeing the File Drop option in the share settings on my Nextcloud instance. Could someone kindly guide me on how to enable or access this feature?

In sharing settings you need to turn on public upload if that is not done.

Allow public uploads is already turned on.

there is no “File Drop” option.. but look at the docs how it should be setup

Update: in NC31 it’s called “file request” - docs seem outdated

Yes i found out. Thanks for helping me out. I have another question, can i get any email notification of once upload done.

Why don’t you look around? you learn what options exist and easily to spot this setting
