Looking for a few hours help to fix Nextcloud config with Reverse Proxy

Hi,
Thanks for your interest in helping me out. I’ve got Nextcloud 21 with NGINX and Ubuntu 20.04 running on an instance in Amazon AWS. Goal is to have Nextcloud clients access the Nextcloud server via AWS API Gateway acting as a reverse proxy works.

  • Direct access to the instance and Nextcloud works and I can login
  • Access to the instance via AWS API Gateway works but I cannot login

I’m an entrepreneur, newbie to Nextcloud, and this is for a demo of a new API security product.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Rob

I have no experience with AWS but this could be just a need to add a trusted proxy to your config file.
My own setup is with a home system and an Apache proxy - the fact that you are able to access it directly but not through proxy/gateway has the look of a trusted gateway/proxy entry missing - hope this helps.
