Linux Nextcloud Desktop 3.13.3 crashes on Ubuntu 22.04.4 LTS

All of a sudden the Linux Nextcloud Desktop crashes.
It was originally installed from the Ubuntu repos. This is the same version (3.13.3) as the AppImage from the Nextcloud site which crashes as well immediately after trying to start.
This is a catastrophe!
Is there any remedy? Do others have the same exprerience

Hi,
Yes, we are having the same issue. If we remove the config files and do a clean configuration, it works until next reboot. Then, the program crashes again.

Same issue here with nextcloud-desktop 3.14.0-20240914.150754.d8fcb9273-1.0~jammy1.
Trying to start from commandline, I get:

qt.qpa.plugin: Could not find the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in ""
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Aborted (core dumped)

I already tried reinstalling or removing caches - nothing helped.

And when I remove nextcloud-desktop, apt shows me:

The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  libcloudproviders0 libkf6archive-data libkf6archive6 libnextcloudsync0 libqt6core5compat6 libqt6core6 libqt6dbus6 libqt6gui6

Yesterday I got some QT updates via flatpak as far as I remember - maybe a problem with latest QT ?

I have QT 6.6 and 6.7 runtimes installed via flatpak, but nextcloud-desktop was always installed via apt and via apt I have QT 5.15.3 installed and nextcloud-desktop looks like having the dependencies on 5.15.

Workaround for me that works is disabling the nextcloud repository in apt and installing default version from the standard repositories (v3.4.2).

@mwildam You seem to have hit issue [Bug]: Main window not showing up · Issue #7123 · nextcloud/desktop · GitHub (solution included)

@PhilippSchlesinger , thanks - indeed - fixed with new version from today.
