Link to external website that can be launched from files

Hi guys,

I have a request from a user : they are building a “shared ressources” team folder, in which they are putting all relevant documents to their project.

In the list of resources, there are websites that are external resources.

At the moment they are forced to create a document named “external websites” with links inside the document.

I was wondering if there was a way to do that better, as in creating a .url shortcut that could be opened from the nextcloud files browser directly.

I found the “External sites” app, but that’s too global for me, I want people to be able to add it in their own folders and not have to get it in the top bar.

Glad to take any idea/input !

Thanks and have a good day
