LDAP will improve Nextcloud performance?

I am asking if someone can share his/het experience with ldap.
I am trying to find out if there is a performance improvement of Nextcloud when using LDAP as a authentication service for Nextcloud.
I am setting up a new Nextcloud instance (latest stable version of course). And planning to fill it with 150 users. The recommended setup would be using an external LDAP server.

So the question is:

  • if someone can tell me after how many Nextcloud users an external LDAP server will be a solution to maintain/improve performance in Nextcloud.
  • Or may there is no improvement noticeable at all (all users in Nextcloud registered).

I can not find this information anywhere. Sharing experience is highly appreciated.

ich benutze 90% meiner Instanzen mit LDAP und hatte alle Probleme aber keines wegen LDAP und Geschwindigkeit. Ich denke lange bevor “LDAP” sich auswirkt gibt es Verbesserungen oder Flaschenhäsle in der Config, der Hardware, Anbindung, Firewall, PHP, CPU, Scripte usw. Und 150 Users sind für LDAP und Nextlcloud schon lange keine Herausforderung mehr. Die Anzahl der Möglichen User sind in den Whitepapers schön dokumentiert.

Leicht offtopic aber hier ein Link. Ich würde das Thema LDAP eher im Forum von univention suchen. Wenn jamand LDAP macht dann die.
