Hey there, I find it difficult to find the latest stable release for macOS 10.15 (Intel Mac).
When I checked the " Index of /desktop/releases/Mac/Installer" (Link), it’s showing multiple versions (incl. “legacy”), not no information about the supported systems.
Can any one pls tell me which version is working well on macOS 10.15?
On the download page there are two versions offerd…
2.6.5 for legacy systems, without Virtual Files support, which is compatible with MacOS versions ≥ 10.10 and should therefore work on version 10.15 aka Catalina.
3.15.3, the current version with Virtual Files support, which is compatible with MacOS versions ≥ 12 (Monteray or later).
So, the latest version of the Nextcloud client, which is still compatible with your system would be 2.6.5. I don’t know how well it works, but since it is the latest compatible version, I’d say you don’t have much of a choice but to use that
Apart from that, you should be aware that you are using a system that has been End of Life for more than 2 years, i.e. it is no longer supported by Apple, and therefore, the longer you use it, the less current software (not only the Nextcloud client) will be compatible with it. Not to mention that it haven’t got any security updates for more than two years!
Long story short: You need an upgrade plan, because you actually should not use this system any more!
