Is there a way to test that Antivirus app with ClamAV is working properly?

I followed the ClamAV and Antivirus installation instructions as per these Admin Manual instructions.

I am running NC 20.0.8 on an Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS in VirtualBox.

I ran apt-get install clamav clamav-daemon, and later installed the Antivirus for files app.

Is there a way to test that the app is running properly?

Hi, @DonDowner yes, there is a way to test this.
Try to upload one of those files to your Nextcloud:
https://www.eicar.org/?page_id=3950
If the upload succeeds is your Nextcloud and the Antivirus app most likely not correctly configured.

Thanks! That worked as intended. The app prevented the upload, hence it’s working properly.
