Is it possible to simply suspend/resume synchronization of NextCloud via the portal (and/or maybe via client)?

It says it could be paused but not clear how to pause.

Pause Sync pauses sync operations without making any changes to your account. It will continue to update file and folder lists, without downloading or updating files. To stop all sync activity use Remove Folder Sync Connection .

Click the sub-menu item ‘pause sync’, I presume?

Or did I miss something in your question above?

I am sorry but without further detail I cannot quite grab the focus of your concern.

Please be aware Nextcloud is free open-source software and this is the home user forum. However, there should not be any limit to your trials in the meantime.
