Is it possible to publish a Chromium plugin to replace google service?

It seems Google stopped sync service for Chromium browser. Is NC planning to take that place?

Can you please be MORE PRECISE and explain what you expect Nextcloud to do for you? If you want to synchronize bookmarks you should install the Bookmarks app and use one of the apps on ypur mobile device to make use of it.

Oh, it was just a thought, I can’t figure it out in very detail now.
I can install some apps/plugins a,b,c,d to sync A,B,C,D. No problem.

What I am trying to say is that it might be a chance for Nextcloud for Google is reducing Chromium support.

It would be nice to see:
Chromium → settings → You and your Cloud → XXX@nextcloud.mydomain.com

To be honest, I don’t understand what you want to tell me. If you want to reduce Chromium support, just don’t use it and use e.g. Firefox instead.

I would like this feature too.

I would expect that such functionality provide the following (at least):

  • synchronize stored usernames and passwords
  • synchronize bookmarks
  • make sure all applicable settings (preferences) is synchronized too

Hi @vbspam

There are apps for bookmarks and passwords. Both offer browser extensions for Firefox and Chrome/Chromium…

It’s a tough one. I understand the desire to have an all-in-one browser integration of nextcloud, just like an all-in-one android app would be nice. But that’s often not how open source works, where people rather stick to the unix philosophy of “do one thing and do it well”. Each of the integration you’re listing is in itself a rather large chunk, so it’s hard to put them all into one solution.
