iOS 18.5
Nextcloud Matheria app 7.0
Server 31.0.5
Installed this version from the AppStore on my youngest son’s iPhone to allow him to save his photos, but for some reason Nextcloud is not showing up in the Privacy settings for iOS Photos, meaning I can’t enable anything. Nextcloud can access the server side of things so can see a picture I deposited for him, but he’s unable to upload his pictures to the server (as there’s no way to grant access).
I’ve got the exact same setup - except the app version is Hydrogen version 6.6.6 … which works as expected.
Any ideas? - is there a problem with version 7 of the app?
Ok, that’s the version string in the official version.
I can check the setting, and I see that Nextcloud has access to photos. However, I never went through this menu to give access. I went through the Nextcloud app and enabled the auto-upload feature. I suppose when activating it, iOS asked to give permission at that point. However, I don’t remember in which version I was setting this up, it is very likely to be a previous one.
Unfortunately, I have no test phone or test environment to check.
If you cannot set the upload up from within the app neither with the phone, consider reporting it at GitHub · Where software is built. (the fact that it works with your phone shows it is no problem of your setup, I suppose the iOS is similar enough that it is clear that is has to be the app…)
