IOS client won't open .txt files

Sometime in the last few days, the NextCloud app on my iPhone stopped opening .txt files. My iPhone 16 updated to IOS 18.6.1 and the NC app updated to 7.1.1 so I assume one of those probably caused the issue.
If I tap on a .txt file, it will download the file (if not already downloaded) but won’t open it. I also can’t find any option to open it in another app. I’ve tried clearing the cache (settings/advanced/clear cache) and I’ve also removed and readded the app.
Any ideas how to get this working again?

I see the same issue with .txt and .md files. My setup:

Nextcloud app 7.1.3.10 and 7.1.2.2 (on other mobile)

Nextcloud server 31.0.9

IOS iPadOS 18.7 (22H20) and iOS 18.6.2 (22G100) on the mobile.

A test on an android mobile opens both .txt and .md with the app. A test on the Nextcloud website also with browser works normal.

Inspecting the process through “curl -I -u user:password link-to-txt” shows:

“HTTP/1.1 200 OK” and a “Content-Type: text/plain;charset=UTF-8” which seems okay.

It reveals Content-Disposition: attachment. That might force the iOS client to download instead of opening in the editor?

I have the same problem on my iPhone and on the iPad.

No pages/word/excel files are displayed after downloading, there ist no preview.

Is there a solution to this problem?

ios 18.7; nextcloud: 7.1.5
