iOS App cannot connect to Nextcloud Server

I use Nextcloud version 13.0.1. Everything works fine with browser access. But I cannot connect with iPhone and iPad and the iOS Nextcloud app version 2.20.8. Error message „Fehler. Aktuell ist eine Verbindung zum Server nicht möglich. error_check_server[-1001] - Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1001 „Zeitüberschreitung bei der Anforderung.“ UserInfo={NSUUnderlying Error=0x1c065d220 {ErrorDomain=kCFErrorDo-mainCFNetwork Code=-1001“(null)“ UserInfo={_kCFStreamErrorCodeKey=-2102… (see attached screen copy).
What is the reason for this error? Can anybody help?

Have you entered URL including protocol information?

Yes, I have tried with https://cloud.mydomain and http://cloud.mydomain.

Hmmh, the error message is too crypted for me.
If you like you send me test credentials and URL via PM and I can help to solve you issue?

btw. Have you tried the desktop client to connect?

A reason for the timeout could also be to many failed logins from that IP which nextcloud will interpret as bruteforce attempts.
Have you tried to login with the iOS app from a different IP (e.g. switch of wireless and try over mobile network)?

Yes I have already tried to login with the iOS app over mobile network. The same error “Too many HTTP redirects”.

I am having the same issue with IOS version 11.3.1 connecting to NextCloud 13 from my iPhone X.

I used http://servername as well as http://IP_ADDRESS neither work… used to work. I haven’t tried connecting from my iphone app for some time so it is hard to determine when the issue might have began.

Kind of annoying.
