Installing Memories app in AIO on WSL2 with default datadir?

I am working on migrating over to WSL2. I noticed the hardware-transcoding/ Memories app information and thought I’d give it a try.

I’m stuck on the Memories–>Getting Started page, where it says to extract the Memories archive into the ‘apps’ or ‘custom_apps’ directory of the Nextcloud installation. Where exactly is that folder, and how does someone add files to it?

I left my datadir default, so it is within the .vhdx Docker Desktop archive. Do I need to set this up with a datadir outside the archive, in able to add files to the apps folder?

For Hardware transcoding in AIO see GitHub - nextcloud/all-in-one: Nextcloud AIO stands for Nextcloud All-in-One and provides easy deployment and maintenance with most features included in this one Nextcloud instance.

SMH. I didn’t keep reading…I completely missed the section about editing and adding files manually

I’ll read through this again and hopefully figure it out.

Alternatively you could possibly use the external encoder: Hardware transcoding - Memories
