incoming call notification not working for Nextcloud talk app (Custom Built)

Hi everyone,
Newbie here. please be patient with my question.
Iā€™ve installed Nextcloud on Proxmox VE using a TurnKey/Debian template. My Nextcloud server version is 29.0.6. Coturn server also installed on same machine.
My friends and I use the Nextcloud Talk app from the Google Play Store for voice and video calls, which work perfectly.

However, Iā€™m facing a significant issue. When I create a customized Nextcloud Talk app using Android Studio, I follow these steps:

  1. Open Android Studio.
  2. Clone the project from GitHub.
  3. Rebuild the project and build the app.
  4. Send the built app to my mobile phone.

The customized app works great, except for one problem: there are no incoming call notifications on Android phones with this app installed. In contrast, the Nextcloud Talk app installed via the Google Play Store shows incoming call notifications, including ringtone,

can someone tell me what should be modified in andriod studio to enable the build apk to show incoming call notification ? i am no programmer, all i wanted was to change the apk icon, which i did but what good is the talk app when it dosent show incoming voice/video call notificationsā€¦

please someone help

Only officially distributed apps are able to use the push proxy. Thereā€™s no way making it work. The only other alternative are branded clients which require a corresponding subscription.
