I am a home user with a Synology NAS, which I have used for about 5 years. I need to replace the disks and feel that the NAS units are quite old now.
I have been learning linux for about 6 months+ and evaluating different home cloud solutions. I have decided to migrate to Nextcloud but I have hit a show stopper.
The most basic purpose of a file manager is to manage files and display a list with the name of the file, the create date and the modified date.
I have over 70,000 files and directories that I have created over the last 30 years.
Many documents and photographs (40,000 files) have similar names.
The issue you are facing:
1. I cannot ‘switch on’ anything in the nextcloud application ‘Files’, to show a simple directory listing with the create date and the modified date for my files.
2. If I use the search and enter part or all of a file name the listing does not show when or a simple table to where the file is located.
Is this a bug or a hidden feature please?
