Some or all of the below information will be requested if it isn’t supplied; for fastest response please provide as much as you can

Nextcloud version (eg, 20.0.5): serveur nextcloud + OnlyOffice (version 25)
Operating system and version (eg, Ubuntu 20.04): replace me
Apache or nginx version (eg, Apache 2.4.25): replace me
PHP version (eg, 7.4): replace me

The issue you are facing:
Hello,
I use nclood.zaclys.com nextcloud and OnlyOffice. I use the online version: It is to have a collaborative workspace with the members of our association and to share / modify files online.
I am the administrator and I have created users who have all the rights. After several tests it seems that it is impossible to restore a previous version of a file when you are a simple user, only the server administrator can do it. Is this normal?
Thanks for your help.
Monique

Is this the first time you’ve seen this error? (Y/N): Y

Steps to replicate it:

  1. i create a file as user (not admin)
  2. i do several modifications
  3. impossible to restaure previous version

Output errors in nextcloud.log in /var/www/ or as admin user in top right menu, filtering for errors. Use a pastebin service if necessary.

It’s definitely not an admin only thing normally. But the admin can set the versioning policy by way of the config. They can also disable the app outright.

Perhaps the Versions app is disabled? See if it’s a an installed app in your NC that would give a hint under the Apps menu.

Otherwise it should all show up like this under normal user account:

Yes Jtr,
i see, as normal user, exactly what you send me. But it still doesn’t work as user but not as admin…I’ll send a request to Zaclys the structure that propose this service…
