As title says. I am really impressed with Nextcliud. Both the software itself but also the community and the feedback from the Nextcloud team. If I have a humble suggestion where do I post/send it?

don’t be shy :blush: you’re on the right track… although we’re just an open community of fans with limited influence on development, we’d love to hear your suggestion.

however if you’re not keen on a discussion with the community folks, you can post a feature request on the development Github.

We are considering migrating from the Microsoft SharePoint ecosystem. One of the main hurdles is that all our users are very familiar with the SharePoint interface and how to find different tools within it. I have tried some of the available apps that allow for customization. While I am grateful for the time and effort people have put into these improvements, the apps themselves are somewhat limited in their scope.

I had an idea that it would be awesome if users could create themes that more or less change the entire look and feel of Nextcloud. Ideally, these themes could then be easily shared with the community. For example, if someone were to create a theme with a more Microsoft-like appearance (including icons, fonts, etc.), other users could simply choose to apply that theme.

I found some information about replacing icon files in a specific folder, but this approach seems too technical for many administrators.

I used the word “humble” because I understand I am asking for someone to dedicate significant time and effort to this. However, I truly believe that this feature would make Nextcloud an even more appealing option for companies like ours that want to switch.
