Is there a way to disable the ringing sound while I idle alone in a room? Sometimes I just want to be available for people to show up.
Are you talking about being able to join one of the new voice rooms and just idle without going through the ringing process? If so, I agree. I’d like to be able to sit there in the empty room and just wait for people to come join if they want. Similar to how discord voice channels work. Maybe they could have a config option in the admin panel to choose how long a participant can sit idle before getting kicked if they’re the only person in the room. I’ve considered using a test account and having them sit idle in the voice room I made, so that people can just join at will without having to worry if someone will pick up.

I think for the time being I’ll just use my test person account in a VM and just have it sit in the voice room. It will probably be annoying with my daily backups, but at least people will be able to join at their own leisure.
I am pretty sure that in the new voice rooms the ringing is disabled? Are you sure it’s really a voice room (does the icon indicate that?)?
I’m able to idle in voice rooms on browser desktop with my bot test user by their self. On the android app, when joining a voice room, it will ring like a normal call for 45 seconds, and if no one picks up, boots me from the call. I’m not sure where to propose a change for that. An admin setting to time people out if they’re idling by their self would be nice as well.
