i am runnig the whole instance on Proxmox environmnet

Please describe your setup.
Where is your smb share?
You could mount the share with fstab, throw the folder as Storage inside of Nextcloud config and run occ files:scan —all.
Uploading of thousands auf files by gui is tricky and will take ages.
But to give you the best hints, we Need to know what you want to achive.
Are there other machines interacting with the smb share?
Etc.
How did You install Nextcloud? VM oder lxc? …

Hey Jtr,

Your advise was helpful, now my nextcloud server is stable and is able to take who whole upload  , works for me and thanks for help

Hey Martin,

My SMB share is running on TrueNas separate hardware and my Nextcloud is running as VM on proxmox environment. According to suggestion i have added the NFS share on the nextcloud instance and that helped me to fix the issue of thousands of file uploads.

I wanted my nextcloud server to act as a proxy and handle file sync between my NAS and my mobile devices which is currently working great without any issue though are few other issues/error for which i will create the seperate but right now attaching those shares as NFS helps and resolve the issue.

Thanks for the reply.
