I can't add an external storage despite using an admin account

I can’t add an external storage device with my admin account. It only shows “There is no external storage set up, or you do not have permission to do this.”

Did you read and implement the documentation for adding and configuring external storage first?

If so which external storage have you configured / allowed under the ‘Administration’ heading?
