How to update files on home computer that have been updated externally

hi,

I wondered if my files on my home computer will be automatically updated if i am running the nextcloud app on my desktop. When i have been working on files remotely?

If this doesn’t happen automatically, how do i do this, or how do i set it to automatic.

I just need to be sure that the files on my home computer are always exactly up to date.

If your desktop sync app is running, it should update changed files constantly. It is not instantly, there can be a few minutes.
